Milan are planning a sensational approach for Juventus striking star Amauri, according to Tuttosport. The Brazilian marksman joined Juve from Palermo last summer and has settled in quickly, netting 12 goals so far this term. But reports in Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport claim that Milan are determined to lure Amauri to form a dream Seleção trident with Alexandre Pato and Kaka. It is also suggested that Milan director Leonardo has met with Amauri on several occasions over the last few months to try and tempt him to San Siro. Amauri's wife Cynthia is said to be close friends with Kaka's wife Caroline Celico and the two men also have a warm relationship. However, Juventus general manager Jean-Claude Blanc has warned the Rossoneri that Amauri is not for sale. It is also extremely unlikely that Amauri would be willing to desert Juve after one season after his public declarations of love for the Old Lady. The former Chievo man is also under contract until 2012 and would command a fee of at least £20m - a sum Milan are unlikely to muster. Channel4 | |
